35 years ago, 2 German holidaymakers came up with the idea to build a guesthouse at this beautiful location on the most beautiful stretch of Hikkaduwa beach. Shortly afterwards the foundation stone for the first building and the restaurant was laid. From the beginning the guesthouse was popular because of its family flair, especially with German holidaymakers. A few years later a second building could be built with more rooms and simple furnishings typical for the country.

In December 2004, the tsunami destroyed large parts of the hotel complex and a guest house. Due to numerous donations from Germany and sacrificial employment of the owners the hotel plant and the destroyed guesthouse could be rebuilt step by step.

In 2014, the hotel complex and the guest houses were completely renovated and modernised to meet the requirements of a 3* hotel. Among other things, a pool, a new restaurant and modern and larger rooms were built. Today all rooms have air conditioning and showers with hot water.

In the meantime, our small beach hotel has become popular with a large number of international guests.
